Getting ready for Lia. Cleaned up a little. Found out that the Jurkalne library is closed until December 17th!!! No internet now, except in Alsunga. So, today I drove to Alsunga and spent 3 hours online buying my ticket home. I was freaking out about leaving mom, but finally, with Baiba's encouragement, bought a ticket to New York for December 8th.
Did some shopping in Alsunga and then drove home.

Word..................man tevis pietrūkst = I miss you and man tevis pietrūks = I will miss you
Dish....................mom made skaben zupa and I wrote down the recipe in Latvian and English
Highlight............making the soup with mom (or I should say, watching mom make the skaben zupa)
Lowlight.............Jurkalne library closed.
