Friday
Went to the library, then a run, then back to the library. Nice day today... soooo much better than yesterday. In the evening, I worked on my mittens some more and then watched Lord of the Rings, dubbed in Latvian with Russian subtitles, and then South Park, in English with Latvian subtitles.
Word.........................can't print some of the words I learned on South Park! zobens = sword
Dish...........................boiled potatoes with lentils
Highlight.....................making some progress with the mittens. I keep changing the design so now it feels a bit more original vs. straight from a pattern
Lowlight.....................still feel completely lost in Latvian.
Random Observation......................I need a real teacher and real classes or I'm never going to get anywhere with this language. Oh well, it is still awesome to be here with mom.

ReplyDeletego to the school and talk to the principal and see if you cam sit in on classes. if they dont let you maybe they knoq where you can join adult classes somewhere else.......

i'm too shy to sit in on elementary school - and it'd probably be too much of a distraction. the only adult classes are in Riga, and they only have expensive private lessons. it's ok. i am still learning tons, just not as fast as i'd like.
